The Weidel-bred colt QJUICK SAND PW wins the title of USA CHAMPION in two out of eight categories! He was awarded DARLEY CHAMPION FOUR YEAR OLD COLT, in addition to DARLEY CHAMPION SPRINTER!

Weidel-bred PW horses were nominated for four of top five categories in the USA. BURNIE GEE PW was a TOP FIVE horse in the country and a DARLEY NOMINEE.

These two fine horses were the only two bred by Pam Weidel that year. But look out... QJUICK SAND PW just had a FULL SISTER BORN IN TEXAS at Rancho Milagro Yegua in March 2010.

In other great news, Mustafa Tehrani of India aboard the Weidel owned and trained horse AF Big Bucks has been qualified for the WEG (World Equestrian Games) Endurance Championships to be held in Kentucky on September 26th, 2010. Mustafa aboard AF Big Bucks just finished his 3 competitions, a 75 mile FEI (Tie for the 1st place) and in his next 75 mile FEI (placed 1st), also placed 5th in his first 100 mile FEI competition in March 2010 along with Valerie Kanavy. Mustafa and Bucks are the leading pair* in the US Endurance Competitions in their weight category. (*Endurance News - June 2010 Awards Standings). GO WEIDEL RIDERS !!

About Weidel's Boxwood Farm

Pamela Weidel has owned nearly 200 horses since 1978, and has trained or sold 100s more. Her horses have included the much famed stallions 1971 Juan De Shawn (progeny earnings $111,479) and 1984 Tikisflaming Jet+/ (earnings on the track $80,791). These stallions have made a dramatic mark on the Arabian racing industry.

Pamela currently owns and stands the excellent racing son of Wiking, Murkana Mike ($135,590); and the multi race winning, 16+ hand, Sporthorse Approved stallion Barkon, who also enjoyed a top ten endurance career before retiring to stud.

Some of her other outstanding horses include the great runners AF Sirpass ($70,267); and the prepotent broodmare Bygosh Bygolly, who has produced superstars: Djolly Good ($85,070 and later exported), Toute De Suite ($62,176), Gotcha Covered who won the Triple Crown Jr. Championship in Endurance, and the incredible racetrack mare Burning Gee PW with over $73,000 earnings to date.

Among other excellent horses, Pam currently campaigns AF Big Bucks ($32,383) in endurance, and as of last year he had top tenned in 19 of his 23 rides, and finished 1st in 14 of them with 3 best conditions. (see recent news above for his latest accomplishments!) A new endurance campaigner is Pam's homebred Getcha Good PW, with 2 firsts and a second finish out of his 4 rides, and a best condition. In another impressive show of racing power, the young Weidel-bred stallion Qjuick Sand PW has run away with earnings of $117,049, and dominated the racetracks as 2009 leading earner in USA. His performance earned him two Darley Championship Titles!

The "PW" behind the names of the Weidel-bred horses are not just the initials for Pam Weidel. PW stands for PROVEN WINNERS, and her horses truely live up to their names.
